Numerous Hospitals, Medical Groups, Health Plans and Clinics have sponsored HCC Interns. Interns are bright and often have sound writing, analytical, problem solving and computer skills. Interns have contributed to a variety of important strategic, operational, financial and research initiatives in a wide range of functional areas within healthcare organizations. Some Interns have also filled vacant positions as part of their learning experience. Interns offer a fresh perspective and ideas.

A significant number of program participants have gone on to successful public health and health care careers. The Program has benefited participating healthcare organizations by providing them access to talented, diverse students who make needed contributions to their organizations during and after the internship. Many have hired students upon completion of the internship or their academic work.

Some of our past Northern California intern sponsors include La Clinica de La Raza, Health Net, Alameda Alliance for Health, UCSF, St. Rose Hospital, San Francisco General Hospital, Glide Health Clinic, Operation Access, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, Alta Bates Medical Center, Brown & Toland, Kaiser Hospitals & Medical Groups.

Some of our past New England intern sponsors include Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, Partners Community Healthcare, Mind Body Medical Institute.
