HCC Comprehensive, paid Summer Internship Programs includes:
- 10 week, full-time placement in a leading health organization
- Mentoring from a senior health leader and HCC staff
- Workshops with peers on Career Planning, Networking, How to Choose and get into the graduate school of your choice, Advocacy, Leadership, Cultural Competence from experts and grad school partners
- Site tours of diverse intern host organizations
- Graduate School test preparation materials and course discounts
In addition to these experiences, interns learn valuable lessons on the importance of networking and how to improve their prospects in developing their own professional communities that can support them in their future career development and endeavors.
After completing their HCC internship, interns join the HCC Alumni Association to further their support and professional development through HCC. HCC has over 1000 alumni who are health leaders and professionals in multiple sectors or are in leading medical, public health, business, law, nursing or policy graduate programs. The Alumni Association supports interns and HCC. It includes a list serve for ongoing information about jobs, scholarships and professional development opportunities.
